Affordable Corrugated Plastic Signs
The plastic signs are an inexpensive material that is used for both indoor and outdoor signs. It is typically used for a lot of self-standing yard signs that many home contractors use to advertise their services at that location. We have the ability to print on corrugated plastic and we have the metal mounting stakes that can be pushed into the ground to hold up the signs.
The yard signs are quite weather resistant and can be used over and over again, or because they are not expensive to produce, many contractors don’t bother to pick them up and rely upon the homeowner to remove them after a few weeks have passed.
We have a flatbed printer that can print directly onto the signs, which means we can produce full-color images on the signs versus only adding letters individually as some sign companies do to make individual yard signs.

Foam Core Posters
Traditional posters are generally made from a poster grade card stock paper. They are rectangular in shape and are flexible so that they can be stapled to round telephone poles. Today posters can come in a variety of materials, shapes, and thicknesses. Posters can have an easel back glued on to make them self-standing.
Foam core is starting to be recognized as an ideal material for posters because it adds further versatility to the poster sign concept. Since it is generally thicker material it can be shaped and it is more ridged than poster board so it holds up better. Foam core is also more weatherproof than card stock and it can be printed on both sides.
As a result, it is easy to understand why foam core is starting to become more popular as poster material, which also poses a challenge for some printers. Because foam core is ridge, it cannot fit into a traditional roll fed printer, which incidentally are the type of printers in many small print shops. The workaround for form core request can be to print the message on a roll fed sheet of paper and then glue it onto the surface of the foam core.

We hosted a networking event last year with the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce that was Hollywood themed. We printed out life-sized versions of Hollywood Stars to line the red carpet and replicas of classic Hollywood movie posters! A few of the crowd favorites were Casablanca, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and the Wizard of Oz.

Printed metal posters – What a great idea
Posters can be posters or they can be spectacular keepsakes that people will hang in their homes and cherish them for a long time. At DRS in Doylestown, we have the ability to print on just about anything. That is because we have both roll-fed and flatbed printers. That means we can print directly onto just about any flat surface, but that is just part of the story.
For example, unlike paper and cardstock, flat rigid materials like metal, can be challenging to print and have the ink stick. On paper and cardstock, the ink is partially absorbed into the material and so getting the ink to stick is no problem. Flat surfaces like metal, do not absorb the ink. Poster Size Laminating and Larger
Large size laminating is now available at DRS in Doylestown. We are your larger format printer and we can also laminate any large size posters or banners that we produce. Lamination seals your print work and can make it more durable and more weather resistant.
We can laminate your important large size prints to preserve them and to extend their useful life. Our lamination is a heat treated process that actually bonds the laminating material to the print. Our process combines a heat and pressure process that is designed to eliminate any bubbles in the process resulting in a smooth clear process that encapsulates and surrounds your prints in a protective cover on both sides.
Laminating is important for any large size prints that are going to be moved and handled repeatedly. It provides protection for the prints without requiring bulky frames that may be more difficult to transport and ship from site to site. It gives the print tremendous weather protection as well.
Our lamination comes in a variety of thicknesses to better meet your print preservation needs. We even offer laminations that can enhance documents and artwork by adding a variety of textures that can add dimension to the prints.
We are a wide format printer specializing in large poster size prints and larger. We can now also add the extra protection of any of our large format prints by laminating any prints we produce.
Metal Print Giveaways!
As a follow-up to the Central Bucks Chamber card exchange that was held at DRS last month, we have additional prizes that we would like to give away. As part of our Hollywood theme, we printed a number of decorative and commemorative items that we used as displays. In addition to the vintage movie posters, we also printed a variety of metal Hollywood type signs including well known LA street names, and a variety of movie star pictures. We used them as wall displays towards the rear of our facility.
